Instrumental Music
The GCCS Instrumental Music Program prepares students for participation in our school band and develops skills in self-discipline, concentration, decision-making, physical coordination and aural perception. Participation in the program also builds self-esteem and self-confidence as well as nurturing a sense of responsibility and accomplishment in students. Students in grades 4 though 7 are eligible to participate in the program and are identified though a screening process in pitch, rhythm, and musical notes.
