Galloway Township residents have priority during all phases of the registration sessions. All Galloway and non-district residents are required to register at their resident school district. Registration is for students entering K—8 in September, 2010.

Open Registration Schedules: April 12th to the 16th from 11 am to 2 pm and April 19th from 5 pm to 7 pm. NON-DISTRICT registration starts July 16, 2010. Galloway will process district confirmations in March, 2010.

Registration involves three steps:

2. Take the pre-registration form, B6T, and District Confirmation form to the District of Residence. The district of residence must certify the registration.

3. Bring the completed documents and report card (if applicable) to one of the following walk-in registration at GCCS :
   
   
• Session I (Galloway Residents Only):
  • April 12th to the 16th from 11 am to 2 pm
  • April 19th from 5 pm to 7 pm
    
    
• Session II (Galloway/Out-of-District Residents): July 16, 2010
  • 3rd Wed. of each month @ 1 pm

Important Registration Information

Before you can enroll your child in a charter school, you must first register him or her in the school district where you reside. That district verifies your residency, and processes the registration forms. The district then arranges the transfer from their schools to the charter school.

The Registration Process

The district and the charter school are required to follow a state-mandated process for enrollment.

There is an initial recruitment period for each charter school. At the Galloway Community Charter School this period is from December 1st through January 15th. During this time, we survey enrolled students and their siblings intending to enroll (who are given preference). We determine the number of anticipated students based on the response. Then, we advertise the remaining openings for students who reside in Galloway Township. Galloway Township residents are given first preference to attend the Galloway Community Charter School.

If the number of Galloway Township applicants exceeds the number of vacancies, a lottery is held at the January board meeting. Vacancies are filled from the lottery. Anyone who does not get in through the lottery is randomly selected to be put on a wait list. The wait list is used to fill future vacancies.

If the wait list is insufficient to fill vacancies, there is an additional recruitment period for Galloway Township students from January 16th to July 15th. This follows the same process as the initial recruitment period, with a lottery held at the July board meeting.

B6t/Confirmation of residency forms need to be filled out and signed off by the registrar. A copy of both of these forms needs to be given to the Galloway Community Charter School for our records.

Property Owners:  Tax Bill or Settlement Statement or  renters – copy of a current lease
Two utility Bills  (gas/water/electric)
Driver's License

*Those individuals  residing with family/friend will also need to accompany you to your district  of residence to provide verification of residency – Residency form provided by  district of residence – you will need to complete and district will notarize  form for you.

(609)748-1250 x  1015.   You must complete the forms, provide the necessary  documentation for residency and have a signature by your district of residence  (please provide a copy to Galloway Community Charter School for our  records.)

Also, please provide a copy of your child's Birth  Certificate or Passport, Immunization (shot) records
Copy of transfer card  from previous school
Name address & phone number of school (for out of  state schools)
Last Report card (if child attended another  school)

Students Outside Galloway Township

Students who live outside Galloway Township may register between August 15th and August 30th if vacancies are available. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of vacancies, a special board meeting will be advertised and a lottery held. Students will not be admitted after August 30th
